Once a year, NILS students go on a school trip by bus to enjoy a fun day outside the classroom. On September 25, our students visited Greenland, a large amusement park in Arao, Kumamoto.
It was a special day away from their usual classes. Instead of studying Japanese, students had the chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy spending time together.
Off to Greenland!
In the morning, everyone gathered at NILS and got on the bus to Greenland.
During the ride, students chatted with each other and listened to music while looking forward to the day ahead.
The excitement grew as the bus got closer to the amusement park.
Let the Fun Begin!
When the students arrived at Greenland, they split into small groups and headed into the park.
Some groups tried exciting rides, including roller coasters. Others enjoyed walking around the park, taking photos, and spending time together.
Usually, NILS students spend their days studying Japanese in the classroom. On this day, however, it was time to put the textbooks aside and simply enjoy themselves.
There were plenty of excited conversations:
“Which ride should we try next?”
“Let’s take a photo together!”
For many students, trying rides and exploring the park together was a fun way to make new memories.
Spending Time Together
NILS students come from different countries and backgrounds.
Although they usually see each other in the classroom, a school trip offers a different opportunity to get to know one another.
Riding attractions together, taking photos, having meals, and simply talking gave students the chance to spend time with classmates they might not normally talk to very much.
The day was full of smiles, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments.
A Fun Day Goes by Quickly
After spending the whole day at Greenland, everyone gathered together and got back on the bus to return to NILS.
By the time the bus headed home, some students were tired and quietly relaxing after a busy day.
The trip may have started with lots of excitement, but it ended with everyone a little tired—and hopefully with plenty of good memories.
The September 25 trip to Greenland was a fun and memorable day for the NILS students.
School life at NILS is not only about studying Japanese in the classroom. Events like this also give students opportunities to spend time with classmates and enjoy their life in Japan.
If you are thinking about studying at NILS in the future, you’ll be able to experience not only Japanese language classes but also a variety of fun events and activities with your friends!
