When studying Japanese, you have to learn a lot of vocabulary (new words) and grammar. To do that, writing your own notes is very important.
When you write notes, you can remember things better than just looking or listening. Writing helps organize your thoughts. It also makes it clear what you already know and what you still don’t understand.
For example, when you write a new word in your notebook, it’s good to also write its meaning, how to use it, and example sentences. This helps you learn how to use the word. It’s the same with grammar. Don’t just write the rules—try to make your own sentences and write them down.
Also, you can review your notebook later. Before a test or before using Japanese, you can read your notes to review.
Try to make a habit of writing notes in your own words every day, even just a little. If you do that, your Japanese will become much stronger.
